Székesfehérvár deserves the name "city of kings" (királyok városa): in the middle ages it became the center of royalty and the location for crowning and burying Hungarian kings.

Veszprém (population 59 000) lies between Bakony and the northern part of Lake Balaton. Its history stretches back to the time of Hungary's founding when Gizella established the first episcopate and thus Veszprém came to be the city where queens were crowned.

The small town of Zalakaros with its 1.500 inhabitants lies in the south-western region of Hungary, 40 km far from the Balaton. The settlement has been well known for the remarkable medicinal thermal bath which is the warmest spa in Hungary with its water of 96 °C.
