Since February 2009, reborn into its earlier magnificence, situated only 25 kilometers from Eger, La Contessa Castle Hotel **** awaits its honored guests in Szilvásvárad. The neo-barock castle, situated in a 7-hectare botanical park offers the elegant and relaxing atmosphere of old times. The hotel consists of 45 double rooms providing palatial pomp; the comfort of modern ages is represented by a wellness division of 650 square meters and by two conference halls that are perfect venues for smaller training sessions and presentations. The constantly updated wellness packages of the hotel and the local sights and programs offer a relaxing experience you will always remember.
In 2011 opened Manor House perfectly completes the building of the Castle and keeps the high standards and elegance, both in the arrangement and equipment of the rooms. The main blandishments of the Grange, which are found 100 ms far from the main building, are the special common places and the beautiful scenery, as either the whole village or the Calvinistic Church.
During planning the building the different expectations of the Visitors were overthought, so there are animal-friendly, rooms with scenery terraces, junior apartments and clean rooms, and the automats placed on the corridors help to keep freshness all day long. The Manor House is especially good for friendly meetings and family-weekends, because it is possible to make one apartment from several ones. A great advantage of these rooms is that at the time of planning it was not necessary to keep the original basics, so spacious rooms with bigger floorspace are waiting for the Visitors.
In this building there are only rooms, the check in and out happen at the Reception, which can be found in the Castle. In the Manor House there are 35 rooms on three floors, and all of them are approachable by lift. The corridors got the same marble facing as in the Castle, and in the common places also appears those motifs, the elegant Italian furniture and the gentle curtains, that are in the Castle.

Cuisine: Erzsébet Restaurant, named after the daughter of Margrave Antal Pallavicini, the last noble owner of the castle is the elegant a la carte restaurant of the Hotel. The delicate elegance of the restaurant is conveyed by the snow-white embroidered damask tablecloths, bone china Villeroy & Boch La Scala cutlery and tableware with Villeroy glasses. Our highly educated and specially trained waiters re-awaken old traditions that perfectly suit the atmosphere of the castle, for example the use of white gloves in serving. Our menu includes local cuisine harmonized with modern cooking arts, reformulating Hungarian traditional meals as well. Our chef, Gábor Rácz puts great emphasis on collecting fresh, best-quality home-made ingredients, such as cheese, cream and butter from local producers. Of course, we cannot omit two of the most distinctive dishes of the area: fresh trout and the truffle. The kitchen of the hotel operates with state-of-art equipment, so that we are able to pamper our guests with smoked meat or ice-cream that we produce ourselves.

Wellness: Our 650 square meters wellness division is situated on the basement level, and thanks to the special qualities of the castle two of its walls are made entirely of glass, providing spectacular sights of the surrounding grounds.
