Naturally, the closest acommodation to the bath is the 4 star Danubius Hotel Gellert itself, which is in the same building as the bath. The hotel has several room types, all of which have different pricing. The small single rooms with shower are really small, because the showers were built into the rooms well after the the hotel had been opened. The standard single rooms are much more spacious, and equipped with bathtub. There are double rooms with courtyard view, hillside view and river view. The double rooms with river view are the superior rooms. These rooms were renovated a few years ago. Suites are also available for families. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms, but the rooms on the hillside always get some fresh air from above the river, even during the hottest summer nights. Just above Hotel Gellert on the hillside, you'll find Pension Kalmar. This is a family-run pension in a beautiful villa, really spacious rooms and rich breakfast. The largest apartment is 100 m² in size! You can reach both the Gellert Bath and the Vaci street pedestrian area on foot in just a few minutes from here. Just across the river on the Pest side, there is the River Apartment, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Gellert hill and the Gellert Bath. Also on the Pest side, but 150 meters towards Kalvin square, there is Hotel Kalvin House. This hotel offers turn-of-the-century atmosphere and large rooms, offering an experience which corresponds completely to the Gellert Bath.
Hotel Charles Apartment is located on the side of Gellert Hill. From here, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Gellert Bath, but it's a beautiful walk indeed. The hotel was established in an apartment complex gradually, but nowadays almost all studios and apartments in the building belong to the hotel. The hotel has a very good restaurant, which also serves as the breakfast area. It is often visited by locals because of its kind service and excellent culinary delights. Moreover, the hotel has a closed parking lot, not common in this price category. It is easily reached coming from M1/M7 highways and Vienna. The Vaci street pedestrian area can also be reached from here easily, both on foot and by public transportation in just minutes.
