There are people who wish to stay in hotels in pedestrian areas in order to avoid traffic noise at night. We recommend the following hotels for them in Budapest:
In Váci Street, you'll find Budapest Mercure City Center****. Not far from here, you'll find Hotel Kempinski*****, the back side of which faces a pedestrian street. In addition, City Hotel Pilvax*** is in Pilax Köz, a short pedestrian street, which is about 200 meters from Váci Street.
Király Street is a street with reduced traffic (limited access, very few parking places, bumps, etc), which is planned to be a full pedestrian street soon. You'll find Hotel Fiesta**** and Hotel Carat**** in this street. Another such street is Ráday Street, where you'll find Ibis Hotel Centrum***.
